Our major renovation project at Ocean Isle Beach is nearing completion. We have posted a few selected photos of 'before/after' shots to capture where we were a short 5 months ago in August 2009 when the project began and where we are today. Posted above is a photo of our our clients, The Young's, as we walked the house earlier this week.This was a significant renovation with the overall goal of achieving a coastal cottage appearance for the owners, while retaining the integrity of the original structure, and ensuring the unobstructed views of the ICW were maintained. This resulted in our in-house design staff drawing new plans to accomplish these goals with a relocation of the interior staircase from the family room to a newly created foyer entrance, redesign of kitchen and family room spaces to allow more social interaction between the two, and with a slight modification of the roofline we were able to create a 2nd story living space for the owners and achieve our goal of giving the home a coastal cottage appearance as opposed to the original 70's contemporary design.
